Space stocks are rising in Thursday's after-hours session amid an escalation of a public dispute between SpaceX's Elon Musk and President Donald Trump.
Internet of Things company Samsara (NYSE:IOT) announced better-than-expected revenue in Q1 CY2025, with sales up 30.7% year on year to $366.9 million. Guidance for next quarter’s revenue was better than expected at $372 million at the midpoint, 0.7% above analysts’ estimates. Its non-GAAP profit of $0.11 per share was 91.6% above analysts’ consensus estimates.
Fabless chip and software maker Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) met Wall Street’s revenue expectations in Q1 CY2025, with sales up 20.2% year on year to $15 billion. The company expects next quarter’s revenue to be around $15.8 billion, close to analysts’ estimates. Its non-GAAP profit of $1.58 per share was in line with analysts’ consensus estimates.
Building products company Quanex (NYSE:NX) beat Wall Street’s revenue expectations in Q1 CY2025, with sales up 70% year on year to $452.5 million. The company expects the full year’s revenue to be around $1.85 billion, close to analysts’ estimates. Its non-GAAP profit of $0.60 per share was 27% above analysts’ consensus estimates.
The major indexes finished the day in the red. The Nasdaq dropped 162 points, snapping a three-day win streak alongside the S&P 500, while the Dow posted a triple-digit loss as well.
