Billings also missed. 

Shares of IT solutions provider ePlus (NASDAQ:PLUS) jumped 7% in the morning session after the company reported decent first quarter 2025 earnings. EPS beat handily while revenue missed. Notably, margins improved, thanks to a shift toward higher-margin services like software subscriptions and managed support. 

Shares of online vehicle auction company Copart (NASDAQ:CPRT) fell 11.4% in the afternoon session after the company reported weak first quarter 2025 result that missed Wall Street's sales and EBITDA estimates, while earnings were in line. Overall this was a weaker quarter.

Shares of government consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE:BAH) fell 15% in the afternoon session after the company reported weak first quarter 2025 result: Revenue and EBITDA both missed. The shortfall came from slow contract signings, with the book-to-bill ratio slumping to 0.71x, showing the firm added less work than it delivered.

Shares of off-price retail company Ross Stores (NASDAQ:ROST) fell 12.8% in the afternoon session after the company reported an underwhelming first quarter of 2025 results: its revenue and EPS guidance for the next quarter fell short of Wall Street's estimates. Management also withdrew full-year guidance, reflecting the uncertainty around evolving trade policy and inflation, especially given that over half of its merchandise originates from China. 

All three major benchmarks are lower midday.
