Auto and industrial parts retailer Genuine Parts (NYSE:GPC) beat Wall Street’s revenue expectations in Q1 CY2025, with sales up 1.4% year on year to $5.87 billion. Its non-GAAP profit of $1.75 per share was 3.9% above analysts’ consensus estimates. 

Industrial conglomerate 3M (NYSE:MMM) reported Q1 CY2025 results beating Wall Street’s revenue expectations, but sales fell by 1% year on year to $5.95 billion. Its non-GAAP profit of $1.88 per share was 6.4% above analysts’ consensus estimates. 

Shares of rural goods retailer Tractor Supply (NASDAQ:TSCO) fell 5.9% in the morning session after he company reported weak first-quarter 2025 results, as both its full-year revenue and EPS guidance fell short of analysts' expectations. Comparable store sales declined 0.9%, with transaction volume rising 2.1% but average ticket size falling 2.9%, pointing to cautious consumer spending and pressure on higher-priced discretionary items. Management cited tariff uncertainty as a key factor in lowering the outlook. Overall, this was a weaker quarter.

Shares of specialized talent solutions company Robert Half (NYSE:RHI) fell 16.7% in the pre-market session after the company reported weak first-quarter 2025 results, which included significant misses on revenue, EPS, and EBITDA. Revenue fell to $1.35 billion, an 8.4% drop from the previous year, with significant declines across all contract staffing categories. Overall, this was a weaker quarter.

Shares of consumer products behemoth Proctor & Gamble (NYSE:PG) fell 5.4% in the morning session after the company reported mixed first quarter 2025 (fiscal Q3) results which included a significant beat on EBITDA but missed on revenue and came with lowered full-year EPS guidance. Sales dropped 2%, as people bought less in key lines like diapers and laundry. Higher prices kept organic sales just barely in the green at 1%. Zooming out, we think this was a mixed quarter. The areas below expectations seem to be driving the move.

Shares of toy and entertainment company Hasbro (NASDAQ:HAS) jumped 16.1% in the afternoon session after the company reported strong first quarter 2025 results which significantly exceeded analysts' expectations across revenue, EPS, and EBITDA. The real spark came from digital games. Zooming out, we think this quarter featured some important positives.

Shares of financial services provider CBIZ (NYSE:CBZ) fell 13.1% in the afternoon session after the company reported mixed first-quarter 2025 results, which included an EPS beat, but revenue missed significantly, and full-year revenue guidance fell short. Management lowered its full-year revenue guidance, citing uncertainty around client demand for project-based services and a larger mix of episodic revenue later in the year. Overall, this quarter could have been better.

Shares of architectural products company Apogee (NASDAQ:APOG) fell 10.7% in the morning session after the company reported mixed first-quarter 2025 results: Looking ahead, the full-year earnings forecast wasn't great. The company guided well below the previous year, blaming tariffs. On the other hand, Apogee blew past analysts' EBITDA expectations, and its revenue outperformed Wall Street's estimates by a wide margin. Overall, we think this was a decent quarter with some key metrics above expectations.

Shares of automotive parts company LKQ (NASDAQ:LKQ) fell 11.9% in the afternoon session after the company reported disappointing first quarter 2025 results which included a significant miss on full-year EBITDA guidance and revenue that fell short of expectations. Total revenue declined 6.5% year on year, with each business segment posting declines between 5% and 7%, driven by softer demand and limited pricing power. Even self-service, typically more stable, contracted nearly 6%. Overall, this was a softer quarter.

Elevator manufacturer Otis (NYSE:OTIS) met Wall Street’s revenue expectations in Q1 CY2025, but sales fell by 2.5% year on year to $3.35 billion. The company’s full-year revenue guidance of $14.7 billion at the midpoint came in 1.1% above analysts’ estimates. Its non-GAAP profit of $0.92 per share was 1.3% above analysts’ consensus estimates.
