The company expects next quarter’s revenue to be around $44 billion, close to analysts’ estimates. Its GAAP profit of $6.43 per share was 23.1% above analysts’ consensus estimates.
Semiconductor testing company FormFactor (NASDAQ:FORM) beat Wall Street’s revenue expectations in Q1 CY2025, with sales up 1.6% year on year to $171.4 million. Guidance for next quarter’s revenue was better than expected at $190 million at the midpoint, 2% above analysts’ estimates. Its non-GAAP profit of $0.23 per share was 21.1% above analysts’ consensus estimates.
Freight delivery company Heartland Express (NASDAQ:HTLD) missed Wall Street’s revenue expectations in Q1 CY2025, with sales falling 18.8% year on year to $219.4 million. Its GAAP loss of $0.18 per share was significantly below analysts’ consensus estimates.
Shares of server solutions provider Super Micro (NASDAQ:SMCI) fell 20.5% in the pre-market session after the company reported underwhelming preliminary fiscal Q3 2025 results, with sales and earnings significantly below its previous guidance due to "some delayed customer platform decisions," which shifted sales into the next quarter. Precisely, SMCI expects Q3 2025 sales" of $4.5B to $4.6B (vs previous estimates "of $5.0B to $6.0B). Similarly, EPS is expected to come in at $0.29 to $0.31 (vs. previous guidance of $0.46 to $0.62).
Shares of social network Snapchat (NYSE: SNAP)
fell 17.6% in the morning session after the company reported mixed first-quarter 2025 results: its revenue narrowly outperformed Wall Street's estimates, and its free cash flow missed. The key concern was the lack of near-term guidance, with the company citing macro uncertainty. On a more positive note, Snap blew past analysts' EPS and EBITDA expectations. Overall, we think this was a decent quarter, with some key metrics above Wall Street's expectations. The market seemed to focus on the negatives.
Shares of communications chips maker Qorvo (NASDAQ: QRVO)
jumped 11.4% in the pre-market session after the company reported impressive first-quarter 2025 results, which blew past analysts' revenue, EPS, and adjusted operating income expectations. In addition, its full-year revenue guidance topped Wall Street's estimates. Revenue declined 7.6% compared to the same period last year. Still, performance was better than expected thanks to gains in its High-Performance Analog segment and stable demand from its largest customer in mobile. On the other hand, its inventory levels increased. Still, we think this was a good quarter with some key areas of upside.
